SNIA Europe Storage User Roundtable

The ‘SNIA Europe Storage User Roundtable’ will take place from 09:00 to 10:30 on 27th October at SNW Frankfurt 2010.  The roundtable is a dynamic and interactive session where a select group of storage end users can learn from and share experiences with their peers on how the latest storage technologies can help achieve your business targets and make your storage infrastructure more effective and more efficient.  The Roundtable will give you an idea how your peers in other companies address these challenges. SNIA Europe will facilitate best-practice sharing and will identify experiences that will help to avoid some of the pitfalls of new innovations. The session will be moderated by SNIA Europe executives who can bring in a vendor perspective but will also be eager to collect and communicate your feedback giving you a chance to influence the direction of several of the major SNIA initiatives.

IDG Business Media GmbH Elevator Pitch
Watch out for the all-new ‘elevator pitch’ competition where participating event sponsors will get just a short elevator ride with a representative of our media partner IDG Business Media GmbH (Computerwoche, TecChannel and CIO). Once the elevator reaches its destination the pitch has to stop and then it is down to you to vote for who you think can get their messages across the most clearly and effectively in the time allowed.  It’s a bit of fun with a serious challenge for the participants to distill their key messages to you down to that perfect time.

Sales-pitch free zones
The organisers this year have revised the agenda so that your time in the conference sessions is spent learning and understanding, and wherever possible, avoiding the dreaded ‘sales-pitch’.  Vendors wishing to present specifically on an aspect of their product set will be scheduled in one of the two show-floor presentation rooms while the main conference rooms will be reserved for independent advice from SNIA, end-user delivered case studies, third-party consultants sharing best practices and experiences, or strictly validated vendor sessions on key hot topics where the focus is on the advantages and benefits to be gained and not on the features of their particular product family.  If you spot a presenter slipping into ‘sales-mode’ please let us know and we will ensure that they are more closely monitored at future events.
